We use our "Housing Tracker" object to track a client's housing situation before, during, and after our programs.
You have two options when creating Housing Trackers:
- Option 1: CREATE A NEW housing tracker if the client does not have an existing housing trackers OR the client’s living situation has changed
- Option 2: CLONE the existing housing tracker if the client’s Most Recent Housing Tracker is up to date
Creating a NEW Housing Tracker
- Navigate to your client’s Case Record.
- Hover over the Housing Tracker related list at the top of the page.
- Click the “New Housing Situation” button.
- Select the proper Housing Stage for which you're entering information.
- Use Intake for when a client has just started with your program
- Use Enrolled for if a client moves while in your program
- Use Program Exit for when a client exits your program
- Include the date the client began living there in the Start Date
- Select the Living Situation.
- Add the Facility for shelter, transitional housing, and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) or Subsidy Type for below market rate or subsidized units
- Add the Address fields if the client has an address. Don't forget the zip code!
- Click Save to finish.
CLONING an EXISTING Housing Tracker
- Navigate to your client’s Case Record.
- You will see the client’s current living situation on the right-hand side of the case record. This is based on the client’s most recent HOUSING TRACKER across all programs.

Before cloning, check to make sure that the information is complete and correct. If any changes need to be made, you will have to create a new housing tracker. If all the information is correct, check CLONE Most Recent HT and hit NEXT.
- Select the appropriate Housing Stage for your program. Typically, you will only use the CLONE function when a client enters and exits your program.
- Use Intake for when a client has just started with your program
- Use Program Exit for when a client exits your program

If record is cloned successfully, a URL of the newly created Housing Tracker record will be shown.

Click FINISH and you will see the updated Most Recent Housing Tracker on the right hand side of the case record AND in the Housing Tracker Related List at the top of the case record.
To make edits or to view all Housing Trackers on the case
- Navigate to the Housing Tracker related list at the top of the case record.
- You will see the list of all of the Housing Trackers created for that specific case record.
- Click on the Housing Tracker # of the specific Housing Tracker you would like to view or edit.
